Lenovo Unveils ThinkPad X1 Extreme with HDR 4K Display

Find out all the details of ThinkPad X1 Extreme. At the IFA in Berlin, Lenovo showcased a new notebook called ThinkPad X1 Extreme. This is a 15-inch notebook companion to Dell’s XPS 15 or Apple’s MacBook Pro, and it’s lighter than both. At a weight of 3.75 pounds, Lenovo relies on a high-performance notebook, that includes an Intel Core i7 processor of the eighth generation (Coffee Lake), up to 64 GB DDR4 RAM and up to 2 TB PCIe SSD memory.

We are going to have several models of this ThinkPad, and the most outstanding options are those equipped with a 15.6-inch HD IPS display or a 4K IPS display with HDR and Dolby Vision support. Also, a ThinkPad X1 Extreme with Intel Core i9 processor should be available in December.

The GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (the MaxQ version) is included in the Lenovo, allowing you to run many modern games, but the FHD version is presumably the best way to combine them. The discrete graphics of Nvidia also helps with image editing, video processing, and even VR games.

Featuring a carbon fiber chassis that also makes it lighter than its main competitors of 15 inches and slimmer. Lenovo also uses the standard ThinkPad keyboard for pointer/mouse key combination fans.

There is also a fingerprint reader at the side of the keyboard and a Windows Hello camera that can be covered with the ThinkShutter cover.

In contrast to Apple, Lenovo has two USB 3.1 ports (one for power), two compatible Thunderbolt 3 USB ports, one SD reader and one HDMI 2.0 port. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme will be available in September at a price of $1859.99.
