Lenovo has renewed its product range at CES 2022 and presented us with many new products. The brand has also left us with its new models in the ThinkPad X1 series, its range for professionals. Three new models in this series, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 10th Gen, X1 Yoga 7th Gen and X1 Nano 2nd Gen. A new series that should become the flagship of the brand.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1: the new laptops for professionals
The brand hasn’t cut any corners with this series, neither in terms of design, performance, or features. So once again we have laptops and convertibles that will be the most sought after.
This new lineup of devices is optimized for hybrid workers and professionals looking for the highest level of performance, with a better camera and audio features for more immersive collaboration and more secure laptops to protect them from the daily demands of hybrid work. In other words, this is a new generation of notebooks that excels in all areas. The manufacturer didn’t want to forget anything.
Lenovo has chosen to equip this new generation of notebooks with Intel’s 12th generation Alder Lake processors. In terms of graphics, all members of this Lenovo ThinkPad X1 range have the new integrated Intel Iris X graphics. Of course, Windows 11 is the default operating system in this new lineup.
In addition, all three laptops are equipped with speakers that support Dolby Atmos and Dolby Voice, as well as four 360-degree microphones that provide good audio quality for video calls. For this webcam, the brand has used a Full HD sensor with 1.4-micron pixels. Furthermore, all three models are equipped with an infrared sensor for Windows Hello.
There are differences between the models in terms of screen size. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon and the ThinkPad X1 Yoga feature 14-inch panels. Furthermore, both have OLED options with up to 2.8K on the first and 4K on the second model. Thus, they are suitable options for an immersive experience at any time. The ThinkPad X1 Nano has a 13-inch screen and also offers touch options and up to 2K resolution but without an OLED option.
Lenovo has also introduced significant improvements in battery life in this lineup. The X1 Carbon is equipped with a 57 Wh battery, which is the same capacity as the X1 Yoga. The Nano is the smallest model and therefore has a smaller battery, in this case, 49.6 Whr. This model is also the first to weigh less than 1 kg, with a weight of about 970 grams.
