iPhone 14 is 20% more expensive for Apple to produce

The iPhone 14 was introduced a month ago and has been on the market for almost three weeks now. The new generation of Apple phones is more expensive than the previous one, as usual on their part. The production of these new models is also more expensive. The cost of it has increased by 20% over the previous generation of phones.

Although there are not too many changes, at least in the normal model, the cost of production is significantly higher than last year.

More expensive

This production price hike is noticeable on the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the most advanced model in the new family of phones. This model has a production cost of $501, a $60 increase over last year’s model. So there is a clear increase in this regard, which is reflected in its price increase, in the price that the consumer has to pay for this phone.

This particular model is the most expensive to produce for Apple. The cameras are partly to blame, as these new sensors used are 50% more expensive than those used in the previous generation. Although the main reason why production costs have increased is because of the new processor, the A16 Bionic, which is used in the Pro models.

The processor doubles the price of the previous chip used by Apple, which has been used in the regular iPhone 14. So that’s another reason why the price hike, especially in this year’s two Pro models, has been notable. Now we will have to see how the market responds, although sales would be somewhat worse than initially thought.
