Intel reveals that notebooks equipped with Tiger Lake CPUs sold 30% more than expected

Executive vice president and general manager of Intel’s Customer Computing Group, Gregory M. Bryant, revealed that notebook and desktop PC sales have held up very well despite the pandemic. However, he noted that the mobile segment, which uses Tiger Lake processors, has sold 30% more than expected.

In addition, the executive said that while more users are switching from desktops to laptops, thanks to workstation and gaming PCs, desktop processor sales are up compared to the second quarter of the year.

In terms of competing with companies like AMD and Apple, Bryant believes this only shows that the PC industry continues to thrive and can continue to deliver the best products to users, and Intel is confident.

For now, Intel remains optimistic about 2021, when the Tiger Lake-H (11th Gen Mobile), Rocket Lake (11th Gen Desktop) and Alder Lake (12th Gen Desktop) processors will hit the market.
