On April 30, the tenth generation of Intel Core S-Series desktop processors was presented, including the flagship Intel Core i9-10900K. Intel claims to be the fastest gaming processor in the world.
The new range is opened by the unlocked Intel Core i9-10900K processor with up to 10 cores and 20 threads, compatible with 2933 MHz DDR4 memory. New Intel Turbo Boost Max 0 technology optimizes performance for light tasks, while experienced overclockers with multi-thread control in individual cores can enable or disable the threads in each core.
New improvements in this generation can be achieved:
– Up to 187 frames per second when streaming and recording games compared to the previous generation and up to 63 percent more frames per second when playing games compared to a desktop computer 3 years ago.
– Up to 12 percent faster video editing than the previous generation and 15 percent faster than a PC from 3 years back.
– Up to 18 percent faster 4K video editing than the previous generation and 35 percent faster than the 3-year-old PC.
– Up to 31 percent increase in overall system performance, 10 percent faster than a PC 3 years ago.
– Intel Thermal Velocity Boost” feature: The built-in feature gives gamers and developers the ability to instantly and automatically boost performance based on the number of active cores, increasing the clock speed up to 5.3GHz.
– Intel Hyperthreading Technology: New in the tenth generation of Intel Core i9 to i3 processors.
– Greater memory core overclocking capabilities: New enabled and overclocking capabilities in the tenth generation of Intel Core processors give you full control on overclocking the processor and key system components.
– Intel Ethernet I225 Controller: The Intel Ethernet 2.5G I225 controller, now available for the tenth generation of Intel Core processors, enables more than twice the data transfer rate compared to 1GB Ethernet and using existing cabling.
– Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201: Intel Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) module now integrated into the tenth generation of Intel Core processors.
When they will be available?
Intel Core S-Series 10th generation processors are expected to be available in May through retail channels and for desktops sold by manufacturers worldwide and through system integrators.
