Huawei is working on its own operating system named as Kirin OS

It’s been rumored for weeks and finally confirmed. Huawei is working on its own operating system, an alternative to Android. It was a director of the Chinese manufacturer who confirmed this news. After months of speculation, we finally know that they are working on their own version. There is also a reason why they are doing it.

The reason they are currently developing it is the fear that a legal problem with the United States will prevent them from using Android on their mobile phones.

The disapproval of Android on their mobile phones would be a real disaster for the Chinese manufacturer’s sales. So they are working on an alternative if the worst comes to their fate. This operating system would be called Kirin OS, although it is not known whether it is the final name or just a temporary one. We also don’t have any details about the features or the design of it yet.

It has also not been made clear whether Kirin OS is something they will only use in the worst case, or whether they plan to use it on their mobile phones in the future. At the moment, we don’t have an answer to that question.

So we have to wait until we learn more about the development of Huawei’s own operating system. But it’s clear that the company is very aware of the bad relations between China and the United States at the moment.
