But it seems that the brand is already in an advanced stage because they are already testing it. The tests will be done on the Mate 30.
This new update is expected in October, although there have been rumors this week that it will arrive in December. We don’t know what’s true about them.
Testing Huawei with their own operating system
At the moment we don’t know the name of the operating system of Huawei, which can be either ARK OS or HongMeng OS. The company has registered the two names in several countries, so the company is planning to use both. But they still do not reveal which of them is selected. The fact that it is being tested in Mate 30 is something that gives rise to a lot of speculation.
It implies that Mate 30 would be one of the first of the brand to arrive without Android. It would use the brand’s operating system natively. So for the manufacturer, it would be an important change in this sense.
We are still waiting to know what will finally happen, whether Huawei will be able to continue using Android in their mobile phones or not. In any case, the company wants to be prepared for the worst, so they are already working on integrating their own OS into their phones, which will be introduced later this year.
