Over time we started to learn more about what the Chinese brand will do with this chip. It is expected to be manufactured in 7 nm again.
Although Kirin 985 is restored to 7 nm, there will be changes in this direction. Because it seems that an extremely ultraviolet lithography, known as EUV, is being used. It is a building processor that makes production faster and cheaper. This has enabled the Chinese brand to mass-produce these processors for its high-end product. A big change in production.
In this way, Huawei can reduce its dependence on other brands such as Qualcomm in the production of its processors. It looks like they want to use this type of process in more devices.
At the moment we have no further data about this Kirin 985. Although the reality is that we have months before it comes on the market, at least six months. It won’t be like that until the end of the year, when we have more information about the Chinese high-end brand.
