Huawei officially introduced MateBook D 2020 Ryzen Edition. This is the company’s first notebook with an 8-core Ryzen 7 4700U processor manufactured in 7nm technology. Since Huawei released the Matebook D notebook series earlier this year, this update gives the series a new look with more powerful processors, especially the latest 7nm APU from AMD’s Ryzen 4000 series.
Its performance has been increased by 59.2% compared to its predecessor. The latest generation of AMD Ryzen 4000 processors uses the Zen 2 architecture and can reach 4.1 GHz.
The MateBook D 2020 Ryzen Edition also features dual-channel DDR4 memory and NVMe SSD with capacities of up to 16GB and 512GB respectively.

It also features an improved cooling system and an ultra-thin 0.2mm fan. The heat dissipation capacity has increased by 27-38%. In addition, the noise has been reduced by 5 dB. It supports a balanced and powerful model, for which a separate button is provided.
The D14 and D15 models are equipped with 14″ and 15.6″ high-resolution IPS screens. The effective display area is 84% and 87% respectively. Grey and silver housing options are available for users.
The MateBook D 2020 Ryzen Edition is equipped with a 65W USB-C charger that charges the notebook from 0 to 53% in half an hour. It can charge 53% of its energy in half an hour. It can also be used for smartphones. Consumers interested in MateBook laptops can choose freely between two Zen 2-based APUs. The Ryzen 5 4500U has six cores, six threads, a 2.3 GHz base clock, and a 4 GHz amplified clock. More powerful options include the Ryzen 7 4700U, which has eight cores and eight threads running at 2 GHz and 4.1 GHz base and boost clocks respectively.
