HP unveiled a new gaming laptop – the Omen 15

HP has again updated its flagship product. It’s about the Omen series and player laptops. This time a lot of details have been worked out – there is a new graphics card, reduced frames and a bit thinner casing. All of this at a quite reasonable price, especially for those who would like to have a laptop for gamers, but who do not have a huge budget.

The HP Omen 15 has a similar design to the previous model but is about five percent thinner and 7.4 percent narrower. It weighs less than 2.2 kg, but with the GeForce GTX 1060 or 1070, this weight is exceeded. The most significant change, however, is the frame around the display, which is much smaller on the sides and top. The 15.6-inch display itself is available in 1080p/144Hz and 4K/60Hz versions.

What will be inside? First of all, the Intel processor of the 8th generation, as well as, e.g., the Nvidia GTX 1070 Max-Q graphics card. Plus up to 32GB of DDR4-2666 RAM and a variety of storage options – SSD, HDD, SSD + HDD or HDD + Intel Optane. The equipment is cooled by more massive fans.

The price is also quite affordable for player laptops. The latest Omena 15 is available for $979 with the GeForce GTX 1050Ti. However, to add a variant to your GTX 1070 Max-Q and 4K screen, you’ll need to pay $1699 already.
