Rockstar Games is known for creating lengthy campaigns in its games, such as Red Dead Redemption 2, but this time it seems that they decided to make the GTA VI campaign shorter than usual. According to an insider on Twitter, the campaign will last between 35 to 40 hours.
This means that the main story of GTA VI will not be longer than its predecessor released in 2013. However, the new game is expected to have a lot of online content, which will extend the gaming experience.
Still, we have to take the rumor with a grain of salt, as the insider did not reveal the exact source of their information. Their claim is based on what they “heard” in 2022, before any official announcement from Rockstar Games about GTA VI.
“Believe what you want. Nothing I’ve shared has been debunked. Months ago, I mentioned 2025 as the release year, garnering the same initial reaction,” stated the insider.
After the release of the first official GTA VI trailer in early December, the game has generated numerous unconfirmed rumors. A former Rockstar member reported that the lack of resources would prevent a simultaneous PC release.
Despite the game being leaked almost a year before its official reveal, information about its story and new features or functions remains limited. The developer mentions losses of up to 5 million dollars due to all the leaked content.
