The Radeon VII graphics cards will be launched tomorrow, 7 February, and reports of their availability in Europe are alarming.
Firstly, the price at which it is listed in Europe is around 739 EUR, but its availability will be really low at launch.
Therefore, as I said, the few graphics cards will be available in droplets and we will have some models like Sapphire, MSI, ASUS and Gigabyte, and what will happen after the launch, AMD has not set a date for stockpiling and it is also Chinese New Year, so the factories are closed, which will not improve the situation. In view of this, we could speculate that there will be no new stocks until March, as the factories in China will be back on line in mid-February.
This shortage could also lead to speculation among retailers and increase prices at their discretion.
At least we can’t say that AMD will do a “paper” launch, as some cards will be available, but still there will be very few lucky ones who will have one at launch.
