Cooler Master CK550 and CK552, new keyboards based on Gateron Switches

Cherry MX is the absolute benchmark for quality keyboard switches, but this does not mean that there are no other high-quality options. An example of this is the Gateron switches, which have been chosen to bring the new CK550 and CK552 Cooler Master keyboards to life.

Cooler Master CK550 and CK552, top quality keyboards for the most demanding users, all the details

Cooler Master CK550 and CK552 are two new mechanical keyboards that have been designed to offer users a high-quality product, capable of withstanding 50 million keystrokes per keystroke. Gateron technology has been relied on for this and is considered the best alternative to the Cherry MX. The Gateron switches will be available in Blue, Red and Brown varieties, and have similar behaviour to Cherry MX of the same colour.

The CK550 and CK552 Cooler Master keyboards will offer some additional features for gamers, such as on-the-fly macro recording and RGB lighting with multiple preset profiles for spectacular aesthetics. The CK550 Master Cooler features a lead-grey brushed aluminium housing and is available worldwide for as little as 89 Euros. The CK552 Master Cooler is exclusive to the U.S. and Canada, with a black brushed aluminium casing and will be available starting at $79.99 only at Best Buy and Staples.

The CK550 Master Cooler promises to be an excellent alternative for users looking for a high-quality keyboard, but don’t want to pay the high prices of most models based on Cherry MX mechanisms. What do you think of these new keyboards? Have you tried Gateron’s switches?
