We just found interesting information about the upcoming Asus laptops. These will combine AMD Ryzen processors with Nvidia Turing RTX. The well-known Twitter rider Tum Apisak seems to have received some interesting information again. According to a picture he tweeted this morning, Asus is working on some laptops that combine Nvidia’s Turing cards with AMD’s Zen+ Picasso APUs. At the moment three different models are mentioned that combine two different APUs and two different GPUs. The model names are FX505DU, GU502DU, and GU502DV.
Asus combines AMD Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 with Nvidia RTX 2060 Turing
The first model from Asus we see is the AMD Ryzen 5 3550, which combines four cores and eight threads with a basic clock frequency of 2.1 GHz and a boost speed of 3.7 GHz. There is also its big brother: the Ryzen 7 3750H, which also has four cores and eight threads, but with 2.3 GHz and 4.0 GHz offers a higher basic clock frequency and boost clock frequency and a Vega 10 GPU instead of Vega 8. The single GPU is the Max-Q version of the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti from Nvidia, but according to Apisak, the GU502DV would be equipped with an RTX 2060.
