AMD continues with the release of the Raven Ridge silicon-based processors, the latest to be listed on its website are the Ryzen 3 2200GE and Ryzen 5 2400GE which are characterized by lower power consumption than previous versions.
AMD Unveils New Low Power Ryzen 3 2200GE and Ryzen 5 2400GE Processors
The new Ryzen 3 2200GE and Ryzen 5 2400GE processors feature a low TDP of 35W, which has been made possible by reducing the operating frequency and thus the voltage. Only the CPU part has been remembered, so that its Vega-based integrated graphics maintain all the features of the original Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 2400G. For now, there are no details about the prices and availability of these new processors, so we will have to wait a little longer.
Both processors will be offered without a reference heatsink included, being the only Ryzen second generation models sold without a heatsink. This would be due to an effort on the part of the manufacturer to offer a more economical product, something that will be appreciated by users who already have a compatible heatsink. It could also be an indication that these new processors will only be available to OEMs.
The following table summarizes the characteristics of the new processors.
