If you’re waiting for an AMD Radeon RX 7000, this information points to a final release between October and November. Assemblers would receive GPUs in August and will have to go full throttle.
This month is key for AMD and RDNA 3, the architecture that will make the RX 7000 whose hopes are very high. There is talk of much more L3 cache (Infinity Cache), MCM design, and a considerable increase in Stream Processors. However, people want to know how long it will take to reach the market, even more so seeing that the RTX 4000 seems to launch earlier, or not?
RDNA 3 and AMD RX 7000 will have their launch in October
Specifically, between October and November, according to @greymon55 on Twitter a few hours ago. He says that Navi 3 (RDNA 3) will be in pre-production this month and assemblers are expected to receive GPUs after August for the launch to be completed in the last quarter.
Thus, we can confirm that September will not be the launch month for the RX 7000, as we noted. However, AMD’s default launch order will be maintained:
This is completely the opposite of the NVIDIA RTX 4000, which will debut hand in hand with the most powerful model: the RTX 4090. In case you do not follow us much, tell you that 2 days ago was left to see on the website of Seasonic, a manufacturer of power supplies, certain model recommendations regarding the choice of an RX 7900 XT, 7800 XT, and 7700 XT.
Apparently, the manufacturer recommends more than 650W for the RX 7700 XT, and more than 750W for the 7800 and 7900 XT. This means that AMD has already sent some specification sheets to certain brands, at least with the power consumption of the graphics cards. Seasonic probably decided to include that information in their power supply calculator to make it more competitive.
So, we are seeing how NVIDIA and AMD have decided to launch after September, as happened with the RX 6000 and RTX 3000.
