AMD regains market share according to Steam hardware survey

The latest Steam survey showed that AMD has regained market share from Intel. However, the difference between the two companies is still quite remarkable.

In April, AMD’s share rose from 18.8% to 21.89%, while Intel’s share fell to 78.11%. As we said, the difference is still huge, but it’s normal that users don’t change PCs every time, so it will take several years before the gap between the two is significantly reduced.

The important thing about this quota gain from AMD is that it confirms that the company is on the right track, that it is doing the right thing, and that it has found the right path.

Windows 10 64-bit still dominates as the most widely used operating system, and the 16GB RAM settings are still slightly above the 8GB RAM settings, which means they are used most often.

Most users have quad-core CPUs. Six-core processors are still strongly represented, although they have seen a slight decline in the last month of April.

The most commonly used graphics card is still the GTX 1060, followed by the GTX 1050 Ti. The mid-range models are quite present, and the GTX 1080 is the most widely used high-end model.
