AMD advances with plans to introduce X499 at CES 2019

AMD will launch the X499 chipset at CES 2019 that will come after Intel’s X599 chipset. This is an opportunity for us to mention that X599 is also an exclusive model that is also expected to come in the future.

Recently it was said that AMD had canceled plans for this chipset and would continue with X399, of course not, it simply postponed. X499 was originally released for the second generation of Threadripper, but it was decided to release a new batch of X399 and postpone its release. The chipset is still under development and will be launched next year.

It has been confirmed by our source that the chipset will arrive at CES 2019 in January, on Tech Day before the event. The company will also be talking about the new EPYC, and its plans for 2019 related to the third generation of Ryzen and Navi.

We have some technical information about the chipset, but we are waiting for confirmation. Stay up to date for a continuation of the news with more information.
