Fitbit announced the new product “Fitbit Alta HR” on March 6 (local time) . That is a fitness wrist band with slim design, equipped with a heart rate sensor.
Alta company is popular in manufacturing wrist bands. This time introducing support for new functions “Sleep Stages” and “Sleep Insights” to record and analyze sleep data in detail.
The Alta HR tracker has an OLED display, and you can tap on the screen. And check the time and activity / fitness data. The measured data shows activity data includes step count, distance, calorie expenditure, active time etc. This new brand also supports SmartTrack which recognizes exercise such as running, bicycle automatically.
Fitbit products with a heart rate sensor are called “Fitbit Blaze” of smart watch type. And “Fitbit Charge 2” band type. But Alta HR has a 25% slim design than Charge 2. It corresponds to PurePulse technology which tracks heart rate data in normal condition. Battery operation time from full charge is about up to 2 to 5 days.
