An analyst named IXBT recently uploaded a video to YouTube that shows the next generation Ryzen Threadripper processors, the AMD 2950X and 2990WX, shipped in a “sexy” package we talked about earlier.

We’ve already talked about the specifications of the 2990WX and 2950X chips because we know that the first of them will be the top model of the series with 32 physical cores and will cost about $1790.

Speaking of unpacking: Buyers of a second generation Threadripper CPU will find a sticker with the Ryzen Threadripper housing, an Asetek Threadripper mounting plate and a Torx screwdriver in the box, which can be used with the TR4 socket to install the processor.

It also appears that analysts receive a dummy processor for viewing, which is engraved with the logo of the magazine directly on the CPU.
