Twitter now allows you to verify login with USB security key

The Twitter team announced a series of steps and procedures being implemented to eradicate spam and abuse on the platform.

There are new requirements for those who join the platform from now on, as they will have to confirm their phone number or email address if they wish to continue using Twitter.

They will also conduct an audit of existing accounts to identify those with suspicious patterns. And measures will be taken with these types of accounts, while they are under review, with visible warnings that other users will not have any interaction with them, and will increase their exposure.

And on the other hand, a new way for users to protect their Twitter accounts was announced. From now on, you can use a UBD security key for Twitter verification. The dynamic is simple and follows the same steps as for other types of login verification.

Just go to Profile >> Settings & Privacy >> Account >> Security, and choose Set up login verification. If you already have the update, you will find instructions for verifying the security key.

There are some details that need to be taken into account for this dynamic to work properly, which are detailed in this link.
