As the displays of our mobile devices become larger and larger, an increasing number of applications also opt to have their navigation bar at the bottom of the screen for better access to all available features, Twitter has joined this trend and has just officially launched its new lower navigation bar in its application for Android devices, eliminating the upper navigation bar that was available until now.
The company has announced this by tweeting, pointing out that all users should already have the new lower navigation bar on their devices. In my case, the new bar is already available, with the same functions that we had in the upper navigation bar: start, search, notifications and private messages.
We’re launching a new bottom navigation bar on Twitter for Android. With this update, you’ll be able to quickly navigate between all of your tabs with ease!

With this release, Twitter puts an end to several months of testing, in which, as always, a small group of users is involved, and we could already be used to using the lower navigation bar in other applications that we use regularly, since it allows us much faster access to the functions through the thumb.
This release has also led Twitter to make other minor modifications to its interface, offering, among other things, a somewhat larger search field, thus improving the effectiveness of entering search terms.
