The release date of The Last of Us 2 has been one of the most anticipated events for months or weeks for most PS4 users. A few months ago the launch date for Death Stranding was confirmed, and the focus was on Naughty Dog’s game, so it should be the next exclusive product to announce its date in the calendar. The pressure on the report was so strong that Neil Druckmann himself joked that the game was delayed by five minutes when someone asked for the “happy date”.
Although the date is still unknown, PlayStation today confirmed a very important fact. The official website of the brand reported the games that will be launched in the second half of 2019, and TLOU 2 is not included. We can see other important releases like Death Stranding, MediEvil or The Outer Worlds, but the exclusive PS4 with Ellie and Joel is not included. Recall that, even though it’s not confirmed, all voices point out that the game’s launch will take place in February 2020.

Indeed, PlayStation has not included the game in this list because we don’t have the game’s release date yet, beyond what you might think. But it seems strange to think that the Japanese brand will publish such information when one of its “most powerful” games is released during this period. It is normal to think that this article was made on the basis that The Last of Us 2 would be released in 2020.

Logically, it is important to remember that under no circumstances can we confirm that February 2020 will be the chosen month for action to see the light, as this decision must be announced either by Naughty Dog or by PlayStation. Still, this is not the first time, as we’ve already mentioned, that we’re seeing the title scheduled for the beginning of next year, and it is no doubt one of the most intriguing series of rumors.
