The first overclocking of the AMD RX 590 looks promising

The new AMD RX 590 and its variants are on their way and we already know that their overclocking potential is excellent.

TUM-APISAK has shared a picture in its Twitter account in which you can see two of these diagrams in the 3DMark database: a PowerColor model (the RX 590 released a few weeks ago) with a speed of 1576 MHz and one of XFX with 1580 MHz. They are base frequencies higher than those of the RX 580 cards, and the results obtained by increasing these frequencies are much better, with 1645 MHz for the first and 1680 MHz for the second.

If this filtration turns out to be consistent with the end product, AMD accomplished the goal with its passage to 12 nm, with frequencies never seen before, not even in the most powerful RX 580. Remember that the Polaris RX 480 reference came on the market with boost frequencies of 1266 MHz, so we can say that the architecture has managed to deliver much of itself.
