The Apple T2 chip performs tasks such as secure booting, better-encrypted storage, and support of Hey Siri technology. Now it is clear that this chip can cause problems on MacBook Pro and iMac Pro computers.
The Apple T2 chip would be responsible for many cases of kernel panic on Apple computers
Digital Trends has reported that the owners of the above Apple computers suffer from kernel panic problems, which we can translate as the Apple version of the famous Windows BSOD. All error messages share a “Bridge OS” message. Bridge OS is an operating system integrated with the Apple T2 chip for all tasks.
This problem has existed since the first devices with this chip were launched at the end of 2017, and also affects the new MacBook Pro in 2018, so it has been going on for almost a year. So far Apple has not said a word about this problem, so there is no official confirmation that it was actually caused by the Apple T2 chip, although it makes sense.
This is the second problem with the new MacBook Pro 2018, the first of which is related to thermal throttling of the Core i9 processor, although it has already been fixed with a software update. Given the price of this equipment and the problems it has, it seems like the smart thing to do right now is to avoid it until all problems are solved.
