Samsung launches an M.2 variant of its SSD Z-SSD, the SZ985 Z-SSD M.2. Star of its catalog, the machine adopts a more compact format. Its mechanics exploit a PCIe 3.0 X4 interface for strong flows.
SZ985 Z-SSD M.2, Samsung Announces 480GB to 3.2GB/s
This M.2 variant of the Z-SSD targets workstations, HPCs or servers. The mechanics include Z-NAND memory chips announced ten times faster than the classic 3D V-NAND all accompanied by an 8-channel controller and low latencies.
SZ985 Z-SSD M.2 from 480 GB to 3.2 GB/s
This Z-SSD M.2 offers a format 22110 or a width of 22 mm against a length of 110 mm. Capable of enjoying a PCIe 3.0 X4 interface and NVMe protocol it comes in two capacities with 240GB and 480GB. On the performance side, it is announced a maximum start in the sequential reading of 3200 MB / s against 2800 MB/s in subsequent writing. Its endurance is rated at 30 DWPD while a capacitor system protects against power loss.
