Streacom begins shipping its FC8 Alpha chassis with its new SH2 heat pipes

Streacom has started to distribute its ITX FC8 Alpha passive cooling chassis today with the new SH2 heat pipe configuration. This new configuration of heat pipes is designed for the new ITX boards that have come to market, which unlike those of previous generations, have the processor socket in a more centric area, as explained in their own comparative image against the old system SH8.

SH2 heat pipes specifications

This chassis allows passive cooling of the processors since it has a block and four heat pipes. That distributes the heat by the own surface of the chassis. Which has been manufactured in aluminum of 4mm of thickness and in form of heatsink so that the equipment can be completely passively cooled? This chassis of reduced dimensions of 240 x 250 x 109mm, allows the installation of processors of up to 95W of TDP if the chassis has sufficient cooling.

On the other hand, thinking of all those plates that incorporate large VRM heaters. That would impede the passage of the heat pipes. The HT4 Thermal Riser has been put on sale, an intermediate bridge that allows elevating the cooling system. So that we can avoid any element that prevents us from passing on ITX boards. Ideal for many models with a second PCB in vertical for VRM or for those with dissipators.
