The DC500R and DC450R SATA SSDs are now available in capacities up to 7.68TB. The DC1000M 7.68TB U.2 NVMe PCIe SSD will be available soon. Kingston introduces 7.68 TB of capacity SSD for high-performance data centers.
Kingston Digital Europe Co LLP, the flash memory subsidiary of Kingston Technology Company, Inc. a global leader in storage technology products and solutions, has begun shipping the 7.68TB model of the SATA Data Center 500R (DC500R) and 450R (DC450R) SSDs. The DC1000M 7.68TB U.2 NVMe will be shipped in June. The SSDs provide additional storage and implement strict QoS to ensure predictable I/O and low latency for data centers that use both NVMe and/or SATA.
Kingston’s 7.68 TB data center SSDs include the following SSDs:
DC500R:
This VMware Ready SSD is designed for read-intensive applications such as web servers, virtual desktop infrastructures, operational databases, and real-time analytics.
The datacenter input/output speeds and response times (latency) are confidently deployed, ensuring high-performance levels in the desktop application and downstream at the user interface level.
DC450R:
A specific and targeted feature set for read-intensive applications and optimized for data centers looking to avoid spending too much on expensive, high-capacity SSDs.
Designed for content delivery networks, advanced computing applications, and a wide range of software-defined storage architectures.
DC1000M:
Hot-plug” U.2 form factor (2.5″) that enables seamless integration with the latest generation of servers and storage arrays currently using PCIe and U.2 backplanes.
Enterprise-class features such as end-to-end protection, performance loss prevention (PLP), and telemetry monitoring for increased data reliability.
These three SSDs complement the NVMe DC1000B Boot Drive, the DC500M SATA SSD (for mixed workloads) and the Premier DRAM Server to form the most comprehensive line of superior storage solutions for enterprise data centers on the market.
Tony Hollingsbee, SSD Business Manager EMEA, Kingston Digital Europe Co LLP said,
“Increased capacity options for data centers will allow companies to increase storage space while maintaining their current carbon footprint as cloud computing continues to grow at unprecedented levels. Our scalable portfolio of data center storage solutions is designed for businesses of all sizes, from the largest to the smallest, and is a key element in helping organizations keep their total cost of ownership low.”
The DC500R, DC450R, and DC1000M come with a five-year limited warranty with free technical support and Kingston’s legendary reliability.
