Spire today announced the launch of its new Frontier Plus heatsink, a mid-range model that will offer much better cooling than the AMD and Intel reference heatsinks.
Spire Frontier Plus, a simple but efficient heatsink
The new Spire Frontier Plus is based on a reliable radiator of aluminum fins. Also, these have the function of maximizing the surface of heat exchange with the air, which is crossed by two copper heatpipes with a thickness of 8 mm, these are They absorb the heat generated by the processor to transmit it to the radiator, and from there to the air created by the fan. The heatpipes are joined to an aluminum base. Also, these have direct contact technology with the IHS processor to maximize the heat transmission.
The set is completed with a 92 mm fan, which can turn at a maximum speed of 2,200 RPM. The manufacturer has not indicated the generated air flow or the noise level. The heatsink measures 124 mm x 61 mm x 13.9 mm and weighs 254 grams once the fan is installed.
Spire Frontier Plus is compatible only with LGA115x and AMD sockets. And that can handle a TDP of up to 120W and its price is approximately 40 euros.
