SpaceX has an ambitious plan to deliver the internet via space-based satellites. Of course, this is tantamount to obtaining the appropriate permits. However, the FCC Committee agreed to this idea and gave Elon Musk the green light. SpaceX will be able to place satellites in low earth orbit.
SpaceX will provide the internet from space. The FCC Commission agrees
SpaceX has already boasted some time ago that it plans to launch a low earth orbit satellite that will give the internet on our planet. However, Elon Musk had to obtain special permits to implement such an idea. The FCC Committee has agreed.
For the first time, the FCC has allowed the launch of broadband service on the low orbit of the Earth. Elon Musk and his SpaceX have long been working on the feasibility of the satellites that will provide the internet and have recently been tested. Representatives of the FCC also met many times to discuss the potential opportunities for Starlink’s launch.
Starlink, which is what this service is called, will eventually consist of 12,000 satellites to deliver the Internet. However, it will take many years for this objective to be achieved. The FCC has agreed to the deployment of 4,425 satellites and at least half of them are required to be operational in the next six years. The first operational satellites for Starlink are expected to be launched next year.
Starlink will enable the Internet to reach places on Earth where broadband connections are currently not available. Of course, in the home environment, it is also worth to take care of proper coverage of your home network. To do this, you can use individual signal amplifiers, a wide selection of which can be found in shops.
