The Sony Xperia L2 can be seen in a 3D video render with a slightly different design than usual

Sony did not put much interest last year in imitating the design of the other major smartphone manufacturers. Thin frames are fashionable, but Sony remains true to its design of recent years where straight lines and large spaces around the screen stand out.

It seems that Sony will continue with this same design in 2018 if the last leaks we have seen are accurate. Yesterday we learned about the appearance of the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra. Also, thanks to some filtered photos. And today we can take a look at the design of a new Sony device, the Xperia L2, through a CAD rendering video.

The new filtration reveals a device with a square appearance and a curved rear cover with a single camera. This curve in the back is a slight change of direction for Sony. Although it would not be the first phone of the brand to have a design of this type.

That could suggest that the phone will come with a hefty battery but, even with everything. So, with the absence of narrow frames that seems a step in the wrong direction for the Japanese manufacturer. We can also appreciate that the phone has a headphone jack, a fingerprint scanner, and a USB type C connection.

Along with the rendered video have come the specifications of the Xperia L2. Also, that includes a screen of 5.5 “HD (1280 × 720 pixels), a Snapdragon 630 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. As for the dimensions of the device, it is expected to be 149.9 mm x 78.4 mm x 9.8 mm.

The original Sony Xperia L1 was first introduced at the MWC 2017. And was released later that year to replace the Xperia E series. It is possible that the Xperia L2 is presented at CES 2018. Although it may not appear until the end of February at the MWC. | Source: Compareja and @OneLeaks
