When we chat through messaging applications, we’ re very prone to making mistakes. Is there anyone who has not sent a message to the wrong person or published content that could be controversial, among other possibilities?
Snapchat will allow total deletion of chat messages in conversations
Now, Snapchat wants to remedy this situation. In this sense, Snap, the parent company, has announced that in the coming weeks it will launch, globally, the possibility of completely eliminating its own published chat messages, which will disappear from both the sending and receiving sides of the same conversation, be it text messages and/or multimedia elements, both in private conversations or in group conversations.
In this regard, users will only need to hold down the published message they wish to delete and then press the delete option. Messages will be deleted for all participants in the same conversation. However, you will receive a notification that the message posted in the conversation has been deleted.
Basically, it’s a similar feature to the one that already exists in WhatsApp, where the period by which users can delete their published messages from the moment they were published was recently increased.
Note that, unlike some options such as DatChat Messenger, Snapchat does still allow screenshots, so be quick to delete a message before someone in the conversation takes a screenshot.
