After we got a foretaste in 2017 and it was shown at CES earlier this year, Seasonic has now also published the Prime AirTouch range. At the moment we only see an 850 Watt model of this red-black power supply.
The AirTouch features a 135mm fan with fluid-dynamic bearings. This can be set with one button on the power supply in five different modes for a different cooling profile. The LED lighting indicates its position. In addition, a copper plate is used instead of cables to connect the circuit board and the rear panel, which should be more reliable according to Seasonic.
The 850 Watt power supply has an output of 80 Plus Gold and thus offers an efficiency of 90% at 50% load. The website also proudly says that the voltage would never deviate more than 0.5% from the 12 volts. The power supply is completely modular.
If you want it, you have to look internationally. Anyone who wants it must, therefore, search internationally. There were no awards. It comes with a 12-year warranty.
