SC17 EVGA Gaming Laptop With 4K Display and Nvidia G-SYNC technology

EVGA the well known graphics card maker has decided to try its luck in the notebook market. That is much like in the style of what other brands like Asus and MSI have been doing for years. And the company has decided to enter the big door with its first Model, called SC17.

The new motherboard is equipped with Intel Core i7 6th Generation and Nvidia Geforce graphics that can have the performance of the GTX 1070. And at least you can play 4K resolution videos without problems.

EVGA SC17 has an Intel Core i7 6820HK which belongs to the Skylake processing cores. With a base frequency of 2.7 GHz. And a Turbo frequency of 3.6 GHz and has a power consumption of only 45 W. As indicated by the suffix “K” at the end of the name, the processor is unlocked for overclocking. Sothere is an option for overclocking with this processor.

SC17 detailed specifications

Although we do not know who is the crazy one who dares to overclock this processor in a laptop, but there is the possibility that surely gives the mark. It also has 32 GB of RAM of type DDR4-2666 with configuration 2 x 16 GB.

So for the options of graphic cards range from an Nvidia Geforce GTX 980M to a GTX 1070. Which seems fair to play at 4K resolution with the full level of detail to the maximum graphics processing. Although in this laptop there is a function of G-SYNC that owns the IPS screen.

The storage options are pretty well resolved in my opinion, since the laptop specs shows a Samsung SSD of 256 GB per connection of M.2 NVMe PCIe. And a mechanical hard disk of 1 TB SATA 7,200 RPM.

So the price of EVGA SC17 laptops starts at € 1,999 for its most basic version with the GTX 980M, rising to € 2,699 for the version that has the GTX 1070 graphics card.
