Since WiFi networks are not available everywhere, Samsung has just introduced the variant of its Chromebook Plus V2 convertible PC that supports LTE connectivity and allows users to connect to the Internet from anywhere.
According to Samsung, it offers a “premium Chromebook at a competitive price that meets the need for connectivity to the Internet on the go. However, the integration of LTE connectivity makes the device slightly more expensive than the version of Chromebook Plus V2 with WiFi, which is $599.
As for the rest, even though the company has not shared the main features, it is expected to maintain the same as the Chromebook Plus V2 introduced in early June as a replacement for the original Chromebook Plus, i.e. it has a Full HD screen of 12.22″ using an Intel Celeron 3965Y processor, 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory via SSD, all in a device with excellent craftsmanship, which is cataloged as a semi-professional level. Although Celeron doesn’t have enough power for most Windows applications, it’s more than enough for the lightweight Chrome operating system. This dual 1.5GHz CPU is also more powerful than the 2.0GHz ARM-based processor used in the first Chromebook Plus model.
Weirdest of all, its features are similar to the new Pixel Slate and the Google option doesn’t offer LTE connectivity at a similar price. The new variant will be released on November 2 and can be purchased from Samsung.com as well as from Best Buy and Verizon operators, as clarified in this regard.
