Samsung has proclaimed the launch of its Portable SSD T5 external memory SSD. That offers hardware encryption of the stored data. The T5 has been built with 64 layer V-NAND technology. And is available in 250, 500 GB, 1 and 2 TB models.

With ultra-thin design, it allows transferring data at high speed. We are told from the company that the maximum transfer speed is 540 MB / s. That is up to 4.9 times faster than standard external hard drives.
The goal is to get closer to content creators, such as video editors, for example. That needs a lot of space to keep their jobs safely. The unit measures 74 x 57.3 x 10.5 millimeters and weighs 51 grams. In fact, the T5 is smaller than a business card and fits perfectly in the pocket.
Also, it comes in two finishes: Deep Black for 1 TB and 2 TB models and Alluring Blue for 250 GB and 500 GB models.
It has no moving parts and is built shockproof. So that it can withstand falls of up to 2 meters. It also has a mobile application for smartphones and tablets Android that allows managing the operation of the portable unit.
It has a three-year warranty and is available in the market with a recommended retail price of 169 € (250 GB), 249 € (500 GB), 489 € (1 TB) and 959 € (2 TB).
