Samsung is a leader in many of the technology sectors, now the South Korean technology giant enters the gaming notebook market with its new Samsung Odyssey Z, with excellent features but an unattractive design.
A new Samsung gaming laptop release with the Samsung Odyssey Z
Samsung Odyssey Z comes with a 15.6-inch screen; it’s a 60Hz panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which is quite small for today’s gaming laptop. It comes with a 6-core, 12-wire Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of 2400 MHz DDR4 RAM and a GeForce GTX 1060 Max-P graphics card.

Max-P is a new series of Nvidia cards with a 10% higher performance than the Max-Q while being very energy efficient. It includes 6 GB of video memory and will move the resolution of the screen without problems. This model is a mid-range one, so a 60 Hz panel has been chosen, while it will be able to reach 120 Hz in the main e-Sports.
All of this hardware has been placed in an aluminium chassis with a thickness of 17.9 mm, for cooling has been chosen for the new Z AeroFlow technology from Samsung, consisting of a steam chamber, allowing high efficiency in eliminating the heat generated during its operation. This refrigeration system will make it possible to maintain a low temperature for long sessions, so the performance in the most demanding games will not decline.
Ultimately, the Samsung Odyssey Z comes with a touchpad, and a high-precision LED illuminated keyboard, two 1.5W speakers, a 54 Wh battery, two USB 3.0 ports, one USB Type-C port, one USB 2.0 port and one HDMI 2.0 video output. It will be available for sale during the third quarter of the year at an unknown price.
Powerful battery capacity is 54 Wh. In addition, there are the HD webcam and two 1.5-watt speakers. The dimensions and weight are 375.6x255x17.9 mm and 2.54 kg, respectively. Its operating system is Windows 10. Notebook Odyssey Z (Titan Silver color) will be on sale in Korea and China in the next few days, followed by a third quarter of U.S. sales.
