Samsung focuses on placing an optical zoom camera on the S-Pen in its new patent

With the war to gain as much space as possible for the screen on the mobile phone, various manufacturers have managed to retain elements such as the front camera.

S-Pen, Samsung focuses on placing an optical zoom camera on the S-Pen in its new patent, Optocrypto

In this context, in the last few years of 2018, we have seen mobile phones that have notches or notches ranging from the thickest to the most discreet, in the form of a drop of water to continue to maintain the front camera.

Some manufacturers, albeit much less, have also opted for retractable front cameras that appear when needed, and it is possible that 2019 will be the year of perforated screens to hold the camera or front cameras depending on the model.

But Samsung continues and has just received a patent, filed in February 2017, to introduce a camera in the S-Pen, the distinctive pen of the Galaxy Note phone series.

Best of all, the built-in camera also features an optical zoom for better picture quality. It should be noted that it has not been possible to integrate the optical zoom into many phone models so far, as this would affect the thickness of the devices themselves, which tend to make them slimmer and slender.

The camera would be permanently connected to the phone itself via the Bluetooth connection, and even the pen itself would have its own button to control the zoom of the camera.

The situation is not yet so predictable when you consider that the current S-pen, which was launched last year, for example, can also be used as a remote control button for selfies or slide shows.

Undoubtedly, this is a more than interesting concept, although it will take some time before it becomes reality.
