AMD’s recently launched Ryzen 6000 Rembrandt APU has received rave reviews in the industry. the biggest improvement to the Ryzen 6000 APU is the inherited Radeon 600M core graphics powered by RDNA 2, which rivals even some discrete graphics cards in terms of performance. In Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay tests, performance was close to that of NVIDIA’s GTX 1060.
The integrated RX 600M graphics of the Ryzen 6000 series of notebooks are put to the test in games, especially in Cyberpunk 2077.
RX 600M nearly matches GTX 1060 performance in notebooks
The Radeon RX 600M series of integrated GPUs are used by the Ryzen 6000 APUs and features up to 12 compute units with GPU clock speeds of up to2.4 GHz. Enhancements to the integrated Vega GPUs enable a 50% faster to compute engine, 50% more bandwidth, double L2 cache, and double rendering backends (RB+).
Initial performance tests in “real-world” scenarios provided by the folks at Computerbase give us an idea of what this new line of integrated graphics can offer, led by the RX 680M.

In Computerbase’s benchmarks, we see that the Ryzen 9 6900HS delivers nearly 50% more performance than the Vega 8 iGPU present in the Ryzen 7 5700G at Cyberpunk 2077 (1080p, Low Preset). That would be close to the performance of a GTX 1060, which has a power consumption of 120W. The AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS chip has a default TDP of 35W. It should also be noted that the tests were done without FSR, so the performance could have been much higher.
RDNA2 iGPU #680M from #Ryzen6000 beats GeForce RTX 3050 laptop GPU in 3DMark Port Royal Raytracing benchmark.
Why? Nvidia’s 3050 Mobile has 4 GiB of VRAM, which is not enough in THIS case pic.twitter.com/hPNOeMxR8F

The RX 680M also reportedly offers twice the ray-tracing power of the RTX 3050 Mobility (60W) in 3DMark Port Royal. It is believed that the RTX 3050‘s poor performance is due to its 4GB of VRAM memory, which is insufficient for this test.
Other performance tests show that the RX 680M and 660M, which power the RX 600M series, are superior to Nvidia’s MX 450 discrete GPUs.
Overall, the results are very positive and a big step forward for integrated graphics in notebooks. We’ll keep you posted on the latest.
