Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 40 GPUs will have limited availability this quarter, according to rumors published by Chinese Board Channels (via MyDrivers). The Asian source claims that the supply of RTX 4090, RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Ti graphics cards will be more limited in the coming months, without elaborating on the reasons.
The initial inventory of each RTX 40 graphics card varies by model. The RTX 4090 had a much larger initial inventory than the RTX 4080, while the RTX 4070 Ti had a larger inventory than the 4080, but now the situation seems to be different.
Information suggests that the price of the GeForce RTX 4080 will drop as supply improves. This model currently costs more than the RX 7900 XTX, so the price cut would be a good way to better compete with AMD’s high-end GPU, which performs better than it in many titles at a lower price.
