The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics card from Nvidia has not yet been announced, but we already have some clues as to what its price might be on the market. This model is expected to be unveiled at CES 2023.
RTX 4070 Ti 12GB will cost $1,000 in the Chinese market
According to Chinese tech media HSW, the price of the upcoming RTX 4070 Ti graphics card could be around $1,000 (RMB 7199) when they land in the retail market.
This model is expected to be announced during CES 2023 in early January. Nvidia would have its own event on January 3 to showcase its new products there, which would include the aforementioned RTX 4070 Ti with 12GB of VRAM. The market launch would be on January 5, about two days after the announcement.
This model would be practically ready as it was going to be the RTX 4080 which was canceled shortly before the launch of the 16 GB model. Nvidia just had to rename this model, which was slower than the 16GB RTX 4080 that is available on the market right now.
In case this is the price, it seems to be quite high for the performance it could offer. According to performance tests published by Nvidia itself on this 12GB model, its performance would be lower than that of the RTX 3090 Ti, a GPU that can be found for under $1000 right now.
If Nvidia officially prices it at $899, it would be in the price range of the RX 7900 XT and $100 below the RX 7900 XTX. That is, it would be competing in price with the flagship AMD with a presumably lower performance. We will have to wait until December 13 to know what will be the performance of the two AMD graphics cards. We will keep you up to date with all the information.
