After the official launch of the Nvidia RTX 30 graphics card at the beginning of this week, there were (in total) three major omissions at the event. These are the GPU 3060, the ‘Super’ designs, and the Ti-GPU variants. The RTX 3070 SUPER model appears to exist, although we must treat this information with caution as we do not know its authenticity.
RTX 3070 SUPER: there are references to this model in a Lenovo laptop (rumor)
Lenovo is the source of information about unconfirmed GPU designs because according to a report by Videocardz, they have listed a system that has the services of an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 SUPER graphics.
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 SUPER is (currently) only mentioned in one system. This is the Lenovo Legion T5. However, due to the lack of specific details, we can only state with certainty that the “SUPER” variant will have the same amount of VRAM as the basic models.
However, it should not be ignored that it is quite possible that this list is incorrect. After all, it is not the first time that Lenovo has done so inadvertently.
Although Nvidia did not disclose any information about Ti or ‘Super’ graphics cards when the RTX 30 series was introduced, this was fully expected. After all, it would not make sense for them to release their standard graphics cards at the same time as their updates. Usually, the SUPER and Ti models come out sometime later, perhaps in response to AMD’s Navi RDNA 2 graphics cards.
So when can we expect a Ti or a Super? Well, we would say before the end of the year we might be optimistic, but you never know. As always, take this information with a pinch of salt.
