Review: Medion Erazer X1000 – Not Bad Windows Mixed Reality Headset

Asus, Dell, HP, Acer, Lenovo and Samsung are already known to every VR nerd as manufacturers of Windows Mixed Reality headsets. And now the market launch another manufacturer, Aldi who also frequently supplies the shelves with hardware: Medion. We took a look at the Medion Erazer X1000 and tell you if there are differences to Lenovo’s mixed reality glasses.

Medion Erazer X1000 – Design is the key

If you want to find differences between the Medion Erazer X1000 and the Lenovo Explorer glasses, you don’t have to look very closely, but the exploration tour won’t take long. Not surprisingly, since Lenovo is Medion’s majority shareholder and holds around 80 percent of the shares. The Chinese company is probably trying to establish another sales channel via the Medion brand.

The only difference between Lenovo-Explorer glasses is that one frame of the glasses is coloured blue, which is grey in Lenovo glasses. Since we have tested Lenovo’s glasses very extensively and there would be no substantial differences with a new review, we refer to the test for Lenovo Explorer Mixed Reality glasses.

Buy Medion Erazer X1000 or other MR glasses?

According to our current experience with MR glasses from Lenovo, Acer, Dell and HP, the main difference between these glasses will probably be found in price and design in the future. It will be interesting to see if, when and at what price the Medion model will arrive at the well-known discounter.
