Redmi has just announced a new gaming laptop. Redmi G has a starting price of $760 for the Chinese market.
It has a 16.1-inch screen with super slim frames, which forces Redmi to move the webcam on the bottom. Most importantly, the panel supports a refresh rate of 144 Hz at 1080p resolution and has 100% sRGB coverage, no matter what configuration we choose.
Internally, it comes with an Intel Core i5-10200H in the initial configuration, combined with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics processor. For 900 dollars we can choose a 1650 Ti, and if we add 100 dollars more, we’ll have the most powerful configuration with an Intel Core i7-10750H with a GTX 1650Ti. However, there is currently no information about G-Sync support.
The device has a fairly slim design, with a somewhat small 55Wh battery, so Redmi promises no more than 5.5 hours of surfing and light work. However, despite its slim design, Redmi ensures good performance in cooling the device, which is guaranteed by the two large vents and three separate heat pipes. It has air vents on each side and two additional ones on the back.
It should be noted that no information has been provided on the construction material, so it is assumed that it is plastic. This discreet and elegant notebook will be launched in China on August 17.
