Last week before the announcement of Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro there was information that Redmi K30 and Redmi K30 Pro smartphones are already in production.
Soon afterward, Xiaomi vice president and head of Redmi brand Lu Weibing (Lu Weibing) officially confirmed this information, adding that the line of the Redmi K30 will fully support 5G.
Redmi K30 and Redmi K30 Pro models release date
During today’s Redmi press conference, at which the flagship smartphones Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro, RedmiBook 14 Enhanced Edition Laptop and Redmi TV were presented, the company’s representatives also mentioned the first 5G smartphone.
Redmi has officially confirmed that its first 5G smartphone will not be available until the next calendar year. This rebutted the assumption that the Redmi K30 and Redmi K30 Pro smartphones could be released by the end of 2019.
This is a very good decision, as Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro are expected to dominate the market in the coming months owing to the manufacturer’s aggressive pricing policy.
