Radeon RX 6000 series Big Navi, the GeForce RTX 3080 confused?

The Radeon RX “Big Navi” has just been released in the database of a popular benchmark. We have a performance rating to position it against the offer of Nvidia.

The Radeon RX 6000 series will bring out several graphics cards, some of which will tackle the high-end offering. Two GPUs are supposedly planned in this area, the Navi 21 XT and the Navi 21 XTX. The first will allow AMD partners to offer customized versions, while the second would be reserved for AMD only. In other words, this chip will, at least for a while, only be available through a reference design. Purchases will therefore be made directly from AMD.

A RX 6000 serous Big Navi was tested with the Fire Strike Extreme (Ultra Mode) exercise by 3DMark. The beauty scored 11,500 points. Looking at the balance sheets around the GeForce RTX 3080 (with about 10,600 points), we only have a nice lead of 8.5%.

Unfortunately, we don’t know the reference card. Is it the model equipped with the Navi 21 XTX (Radeon RX 6900 XT?) or the version of the Navi 21 XT (Radeon RX 6800 XT)?
