Radeon RX 5600 series, AMD ready to attack the Nvidia GeForce GTX 16 series

With the arrival of the Radeon RX 5600 series, AMD will gain a strong competitive edge over Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 16 series. At least that’s what new rumors say. An announcement can be made in December.

According to a recent report, AMD has the Radeon RX 5600 series in its boxes. It’s said that it’s about delivering a performance above that of Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 16 series. This puts this family above the current GeForce GTX 1660 Super and GTX 1660 Ti.

An announcement for December is possible, but availability is not expected until next year. The AMD AIB partners’ regulatory documents at the Eurasian Economic Commission (UNECE) level provide a better understanding of the organization of supply. The series consists of Radeon RX 5600 and RX 5600 XT, which are available with 6 GB or 8 GB video memory.

The EBR file submitted by ASUS refers to “internal” versions of ROG Strix, TUF Gaming and Dual. This Radeon RX 5600 series will normally run a Navi 10 GPU. AMD should reduce the number of active processing units compared to the Radeon RX 5700 series and access the GDDR6 memory bus with the 6GB variant.
