Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 can get the core Cortex-A78 and Cortex-X1

According to speculation, Cortex-A78 and Cortex-X1 CPU cores and the Mali-G78 GPU will be used on the next generation Snapdragon 875. A few days ago ARM officially announced the Cortex-A78 and Cortex-X1 CPU cores and the Mali-G78 GPU, which will be followed by other flagship products in 2021 and beyond.

Meanwhile, sources indicate that this Cortex-X1 CPU core will be about 30 percent higher than the peak performance of the Cortex-A77, and the integer processing power of the Cortex-X1 is 23 percent better than that of the Cortex-A78, which has twice the machine learning capabilities. Once the Snapdragon 875 processor ships with this configuration, it will once again break the performance record in the Android camp.

This Snapdragon 875 processor will definitely use the upper 5nm EUV process and start mass production around June. In addition to the Snapdragon 875, Samsung’s next-generation flagship processor will probably also be shipped with this configuration. Based on the release date of the Snapdragon flagship processor, the company should officially introduce it around the fourth quarter of this year, although there is speculation that it will be released earlier.
