QNAP TS-963X has been announced as a new 9-bay NAS system powered by AMD hardware, specifically a quad-core processor, at a frequency of 2 GHz to handle all its features with ease.
QNAP TS-963X, an AMD hardware-based 9-bay NAS is released
This new QNAP TS-963X NAS includes 8GB of RAM, which can be expanded to a maximum of 16GB if the user needs it. This ensures smooth operation in conjunction with your AMD G-Series GX-420MC quad-core 2 GHz processor. Its 10GBASE-T connectivity is compatible with five-speed connections (10G / 5G / 2.5G / 2.5G / 1G / 100M) so that it will adapt to the needs of all potential users.
QNAP has managed to include all nine bays in a system that is the size of a five-bay NAS; this has been made possible by adding four 2.5-inch bays alongside the five 3.5-inch bays. The QNAP TS-963X is ideal for small businesses and organizations to increase data access efficiency, network throughput and meet the demands of mission-critical tasks.
As for the operating system, this is QNAP’s excellent QTS, which offers robust storage and snapshot management features, Virtual JBOD (VJBOD) and much more. This advanced operating system provides considerable added value in the form of technologies such as Hybrid Backup Sync for backing up and synchronizing files with local, remote and cloud storage, QVR Pro that can provide a professional surveillance solution, and Virtualization Station and Linux Station, which allow users to host virtual machines running Windows, Linux or UNIX-like operating systems.
The QNAP TS-963X is also ready for VMware, Citrix Ready and Windows Server 2016.
