PS5 and Xbox Scarlett reaching photorealistic level of Unreal Engine 4?

As each new generation leaps forward, it implies greater power and more realistic games. Now we are on the verge of a new generation and indeed there are many rumors pointing to the launch of PS5 this year for version 2020 and a Microsoft that should do the same with the next generation of Xbox.

So, from where we will start with this new generation of consoles? There are games that aren’t confirmed as cross-generational, like The Last of Us 2, Halo Infinite or Death Stranding, but everything suggests that this will be due to the quality of the various events. On the other hand, there are already developers who have indicated that their games will be multi-generation ( they will be released for both current and new generation consoles). This is the case with Cyberpunk 2077.

As you can see, it’s a photorealistic demo of an environment. This isn’t a video game, of course, but a creation with the Unreal Engine 4, of course, it is a creation, but it gives us a level of beauty that can be achieved with that engine. This doesn’t mean that you can make a game with these graphics, of course, because it’s just a fragment where there are physics and different effects, but there are no character models, animations, artificial intelligence, etc., everything that’s on stage in a video game and consumes a lot of resources.

Strangely enough, this demo runs on hardware running a single GTX 1080 Ti, a very powerful GPU, but the question is that whether this quality is achievable in the new consoles like PS5 and the next Xbox Scarlett.
